Adolescents in a health rights session

Adolescent SRH & Rights

Advancing the sexual and reproductive health and rights of adolescents through evidence that informs national policy and youth-responsive services.

Overview

Adolescents sit at the centre of Kenya’s demographic future, yet services too rarely meet them on their terms. This program builds the evidence base for adolescent-responsive sexual and reproductive health — what young people need, what reaches them, and what national policy should protect.

The work spans research, rights, and the practical design of services young people will actually use.

Objectives

  • 01Generate national evidence on adolescent SRH needs and service gaps.
  • 02Support youth-responsive service standards and provider training.
  • 03Strengthen the rights framework protecting adolescent access.

Our approach

The program works nationally, combining research with policy engagement so that findings translate into standards and safeguards rather than sitting on a shelf. Young people inform the design of what is studied and how.
